Lies

An unfortunate fact about our lives is that lies surround us everyday. This has been a constant since the days of the first men on earth dealt wit each other. The reasons have shifted and changed for hundred of situations from courting a member of the opposite sex (or the same sex sometimes) to igniting wars.
My greatest question has been; when does a lie become a lie though? If a person repeats another person's lie though it is a lie the speaker did not lie themselves so that would make what they are saying the truth to them. As much as lies should be avoided it is also obvious that they are sometimes necessary or wanted deeply due to situations. I for one do not want to tell lies no matter how tempting however. In exchange I must turn to the philosophy that: it is not a lie if the person doesn't ask. In other words avoidance and admission. Though this is in itself a type of lying it is also the only alternative I see available in order to reach the goals of not allowing for lies to exit my mouth and to not tell some people hurtful information.
