Another look at Kony

A friend referred me to this great article- reaction-solution-kony-2012 As much of an injustice the whole Joseph Kony situation is I have my own problem with the invisible children campaign. These center around the fact that facts are tweaked and a few logical fallacies being utilized. These are not discussed in this article but it does have some solid points about how there are even worst injustices going on in the world that are not being mentioned.

Friend's New Blog

My friend had an idea for an interesting chapbook a while ago. I thought it was just a joke but she has made it into an impressive reality. There is more info on it on her new blog: veryimportantpolymers.blogspot.com
Meanwhile, it seems her dog has started his own blog. I features his unique um...artwork. He's not limiting himself to working with art though. Check out his business card on the site to see his services. I am considering using his Document Management service, it is an all natural way of recycling after all. You can check it out here: snoopyhofmann.blogspot.com

Humorous Video

Happened to revisit collegehumor.com recently. Found a funny (and possibly useful) video. collegehumor.com/video/3945162/learning-guitar-to-get-laid After watching I realize that I have a guitar, know more than a handful of chords, and know how to play a few famous songs! I'm set!

Talking about being set, I also found another video that told me what I should start expecting.

Stripper Blogs

I don't go to strip clubs. They don't seem appealing to me. I have recently however begun to read blogs written by strippers. It seemed once I came across one I couldn't help finding the others. Many have interesting experiences that are definitely unique-I'm thinking of using some of the it for a story idea.
I'm a bit surprised about how many stripper blogs there are. Would think with the negative stereotypes that people would not want to claim they are. On the other hand might be a good hook to attract people to read them.

Main one I've read so far-smart& funny:diaryofanangrystripper.com

Interesting:

Wow

Odd how things can give you hope or make you weep.
Many have empathy and understanding for others such as people here: kizuna311.com (site is in Japanese and English)

On the other hand this is the type of stuff that makes me ashamed to be an American

To friend or not to friend, that is the question

Every once in a while it feels good to look at other people and think 'I'm smarter than them'. That is what this site is for:
www.unfriendable.com
failbook.failblog.org
Enjoy!

On a serious note I'm starting to hate that Facebook and other social sites call everyone your "friend". It's not totally their fault but it minimizes the word somewhat. Social networks almost forced you to accept request from people who are not your friend. Some may be an acquaintance, or a co-worker or a friend of a friend but how many are really friends?

I want a break up!

I guess not everyone can just say the words. I found this interesting site to help them out, ibreakup.net. I haven't used it but just the idea makes me chuckle. Of course who knows I may need it one day!

I wrote a random poem on the site.

"Break up"
This must end.
Relationships need to split,
time goes on and suddenly that's it.

How can it be said?
...so these problems could be put to bed?
Just as when we began:
Searching for the words, but
need advice on how to start on this subject and break the ice.

NaNoWriMonth

NaNoWriMonth

This morning I started my novel for nanowrite. NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel writing Month. I stayed up all night to start at 12 however around 1am realized I was sleepy so couldn't think straight. I've done it once before a couple years ago but didn't finish in time. I then forgot until someone mentioned it this year so I was able to sign up in October. The idea is to write a 175-page about 50,000-word novel by midnight, November 30. I now have over 2 pages done and hope to get to 4 by tonight,
oh if anyone is interested the site is: www.nanowrimo.org/

Birthdays
2 birthdays in 2 days now I feel beat. By the way Happy Birthday Megan! But I did have fun at both and think the birthday persons had fun too. I was actually not going to go to either at first. The family decided the day of that we would go to see my cousin and I was going to stay home. For the second birthday, it was the same day as a festival I had planned to go to so I wasn't sure if I would at first. All in all I'm glad I went to both.

Sightings
I also spotted myself on a few sites again. Here at Elittetokyo: http://elittletokyo.com/gallery/judochop07?page=1 That was also my first time meeting the guy who does Elittlel. I'm across the street in the picture in front of 2nd Street.
Also in Oreskaband's staff Terry Note blog. I am behind the person on the carousal who so looks like they are going to fall. : http://playlog.jp/o-s-k/blog/2007-09-25

Whack Facts?!

One of those inevitable things in life just happen. I was referenced to this site again: http://chucknorrisfacts.com/. Those facts are so wrong and messed up they're just hilarious. The first time I happened upon this site I keep going back for 3 days to read more in a state of disbelief.

Some of my favorites are:
1.Noah was the only man notified before Chuck Norris relieved himself in the Atlantic Ocean.
2.There is no theory of evolution. Just a list of animals Chuck Norris allows to live.
3.Outer Space exists because it's scared to live on the same planet as Chuck Norris
4.Chuck Norris once roundhouse kicked the side of a Mcdonalds turning it into a Wendy's
5.Chuck Norris is the reason Waldo is hiding
3.Chuck Norris doesn't wear a watch. He decides what time it is
5.In ancient China there is a legend that one day a child will be born from a dragon, grow to be a man, and vanquish evil from the land. That man is not Chuck Norris, because Chuck Norris killed that man
6.Chuck Norris is currently suing myspace for taking the name of what he calls everything around you
